BOAT CUSTOMER CHALLENGE’S

 

Customer Challenge:

 

An owner of a 47’ Buddy Davis High Performance Sport fisherman with two Detroit Diesel Engines 737 HP twin turbo’s, in South Carolina.  The boat had an electrical fire, the port engine started by itself and one of the oil lines burned into, pumping all the oil out of the engine.  They do not know how long the engine ran without oil, they guess 15-30 minutes. 

 

PPGI Solution:

 

Two weeks before the fire, he had added Petron Plus Diesel Engine Conditioner to the engines against the advise of a Detroit Diesel dealer.  The damaged engine was torn down and completely inspected with the decision there was no damage to the internal engine.

Customer Challenge:

 

An AOBF boat racer from Georgia has scuffed 10 pistons using factory recommended oil in 3 years.

 

PPGI Solution:

 

They switched to Petron Plus 2-Cycle Engine Oil, and after 2 years they have had no scuffing of pistons.  They also stated using Petron Plus Transmission & Gear Box Supplement in the lower unit.

Customer Challenge:

 

A Hi-Performance engine builder and Offshore Racing Team form Florida builds engines for Offshore Power Boats and had never used any kind of oil additives.  While at their dyno shop, dynoing a testing a 520 cu in. Big Block Chevrolet, worth approx. $25,000 dollars.  They agreed to test Petron Plus The Engine Conditioner.

Customer Challenge:

 

A personal watercraft racing school in California, has been teaching up and coming racers since 1988, and have had the opportunity to use and race with many different types of oils.

 

PPGI Solution:

 

After switching to Petron Plus 2-Cycle Engine Oil they reported:  ...we noticed that the craft fired up much more quickly and ran better cold  ...we set two identical crafts head to head, the only difference was the type of lubricant used.  The Petron treated craft was able to pull one and one-half boat lengths, within a fifty-yard distance, ahead of the non-treated craft.  Three of my students, and myself, were able to race and win the entire Arizona Winter Series, in our respective classes, on only one craft each.  We used these crafts to practice and race without a mechanical failure all year.  We had been monitoring the compression in all the craft for evidence of wear but none was ever detected.

Customer Challenge:

A shipping company that provide regular freighter service throughout the Bahamas for both large and small clients.  They offer daily trips to many of the islands from Freeport to Long Island and Southern Caribbean.   The ship engines are 12 cylinder Caterpillar 3412.  They reported their fuel consumption was 5.2 nautical miles per gallon. 

 

PPGI Solution:

 

They added Petron Plus Diesel Engine Conditioner to the engines, and Petron Plus Ultra All-Season Diesel Fuel Supplement to the fuel... Increased fuel mileage from 5.2 to 6.1 nautical miles per gallon, a improvement of 14.8%.
